| Before
we even put pencil to paper, we need to get to know you. Tell us about your
venue, your own design thoughts and colour preferences. We then work with
you to create the perfect design for your dress, and then we give you a
cost estimate. Once you decide to proceed, we ask for a deposit (usually
50% of the estimated cost). We order your fabrics and begin work on cutting
your pattern to produce a full size model of your dress. This calico toile
gives both you and the designer the opportunity to make any minor design
changes before cutting the actual fabric.
We book further appointments as your dress progresses, and this is an
ideal opportunity to discuss your shoes and other accessories. We leave
the final fitting until about two weeks before your wedding, because we
know that you will have lost weight since your last visit to us. (All
our brides do!) Your dress is then hand finished and made ready for collection.
